The Aftermath

After the heroic battle with Levi’s henchmen, Calvin, Peter, and Roman are healing their wounds gloomily because Levi, the one behind the battle, managed to escape out the castle window.

“I know this isn’t the best moment to ask, but where are we?” Calvin asks.

“I agree with Calvin,” replies Peter.

“Well, we are in Tajikistan,” Roman replies.

“And where is that exactly?” Asks Calvin pensively.

“It was one of the countries that broke off form the U.S.S.R.” answers Roman.

“Aaaaaaaand that explains it,” answers Calvin slightly annoyed.

“Yup,” says Roman.

“Now how do we get out of here?” Asks peter.

“Same way as Levi did,” says Roman.

“ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND!?!” Asks Peter and Calvin simultaneously.

“Nope, and I’m not kidding either,” Roman said cooly.

“Well, when do we leave?” asks Calvin.

“You are okay with jumping out a window?” Asks peter to Calvin.

“No, but we have to, don’t we?” Replies Calvin.

“Yup, and to comfort you I’ll go first when I get my anti-day gear,” says Roman.

Roman went into the room where Peter was first “held” and came back out with three parachutes, one for each of them.

“You really weren’t kidding about the window,” said Calvin in a complaining voice.

“What’s wrong, afraid of heights?” Asks Roman.

“No, but there really isn’t another way out?” Calvin says in melancholy.

“For the last time, NO THERE IS NO OTHER WAY,” Roman says stressed out.

“Ok fine, gimme the damn parachute,” says Calvin.

Roman gives him the parachute and Calvin jumps out without second thought. Peter and Roman soon follow. The drop was a good 400-450 feet drop and after about 50-75 feet, Calvin opens his parachute, but Peter and Roman wait a bit longer. Roman opens his after what seems an eternity, but Peter is still free falling. Roman opens a telepathic communication line with Calvin.

“Why hasn’t Peter opened up his parachute?” question Roman.

“I have no clue but I’ll take a closer look,” and at that Calvin unclips his parachute and starts free falling to catch up to Peter.

“ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND CALVIN,” says Roman more as a critic than a question.

“Now that I realized what I did yeah, you can say that, but Peter seems to have a dart in his neck, with a slow moving poison,” Calvin says completely ignoring Roman’s comment after having mentioned it.

“You know you are about 100 feet and closing on the ground,” Roman says in a semi sarcastic manner.

As Calvin hears the facts, his worries start increasing until the adrenaline starts pumping like mad. His eyes start turning a bright blue and about 10 feet from the ground he removes all air under him, making the space under a perfect vacuum, and he lands perfectly on his feet. Right after Peter lands, the air rushes back in and they can both breathe again, although Peter’s is slow and laborious. Calvin starts by removing the dart and rips part of his shirt to stop the bleeding.

“Damn, how did we miss this when we examined the wounds?” Mumbles Calvin to himself.

“Probably because it was camouflaged by something that has a skin colored,” Roman says as he lands in the ground.

“We need to get him to a hospital, and fast,” Calvin says in a hurry.

“I agree, but the closest hospital is around 4000 km Northeast of here,” Roman says in a melancholic voice.

“No problem, but I’m gonna be exhausted when we get there,” says Calvin.

Before Roman has a chance to talk, Calvin grabs his hand and Peter’s and mutters some words and in an instant, they are in a town.

“Get Peter to the hospital,” Calvin says weakly.

Without second thought, Roman grabs Peter and starts running towards the hospital.
